Comment of Orbit Gum September 17, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — Tacy @ 11:31 am

Sophia: Orbit has aspartame in it so I’m not allowed to have it. :( I like the pina colada gum though. Does anyone know of a pina colada gum without aspartame in it? (that is preferably sold at the checkout at Grove Barton target) :)

Tate: What is aspartame?

OMG Kanye…. September 15, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — Tacy @ 10:21 pm

Hey ya’ll. At the MTV Music Awards Taylor Swift won for best music video. As she was accepting her prize, Kanye West literally jumped up on stage, grabbed the mic, and yelled. “Yo, Tayla, I’m really happy for you, and imma let u finish but I just wanted to say that beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” As the crowd began to boo, Kanye shrugged and abandoned the stage. He was asked to leave.

:( I don’t think that was very nice of him… I mean, I ADORE ADORE ADORE his music… and I hate to think that he’s awful… but he sort of is…. you know? Give me your view!

You know those commercials for Orbit Mist Gum… saying it’s the “wettest gum ever?” Well I got some and it’s actually rather dry and hard.

Hope It’s Not Swine Flu! September 14, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — Tacy @ 1:09 pm

I’m sick. I have a really sore throat, stuffy nose, and feel feverish and achy. If I have the Swine Flu I will NOT be happy. If I die, I’m suing someone! :) LOL Just kidding. But I do have to stay home from school, which means make-up work. (Yuck!) Another downside = I can’t see my mom’s friend’s baby because I’m sick. The baby was born, like, last night, so you can’t have any germs.

Hasta La Byebye!

Filed under: Blogroll — Tacy @ 3:47 pm

Sophia: Hope you don’t need surgery! But if you do, Dr. Cheek knows all the people to send you to. When i had my surgery, she sent me to this guy who really knew what he was doing and I didn’t feel a thing! (probably cuz i was asleep, but whatevs, the point is that it doesn’t hurt)

Tate: I hope so!

Surgery (sniff, sniff.) September 12, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — Tacy @ 2:11 pm

Hey guys. I went to the orthodontist and found out that I DO NOT need braces, but when Dr. Cheek took my x-ray she found a surprise! You know how when you lose your baby teeth, adult teeth grow in? Well I am missing 2 adult teeth in the back of my mouth. So here is what I have to do.

If my adult teeth grow in and I still have a gap, I will get braces only on my top teeth, and I will have the baby teeth (the ones without adult teeth) removes, and get surgery to out in anchors onto my bone, to pull the teeth around the baby teeth (without adult teeth) together. If I don’t need braces (please, make me not need braces, please, that spring looks PAINFUL!) then I will have to wait until the baby teeth (without adult teeth) come out, and then get an implant tooth. Luckily, though, theses teeth are in the back where nobody can see them… he he he! :D

My gymnastics coach told me he had surgery on his appendix, woke up in the middle of the surgery, and  didn’t feel a thing! Of coarse they immediately put him back to sleep. That sort of comforts me in a very odd way. I don’t really know why. What’s your view on this? Please comment!

Minerva Clark Gets a Clue September 12, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — Tacy @ 1:45 pm

13 year old Minerva Clark is a regular, self-conscious teen who spends most of her time critiquing herself, and being, well,self-conscious. Until one day her BIC (Brother In Charge) accidentally puts her through electric shock, and zaps all of her fears out of her.

One day, Minerva sees the news and realizes that her friend, the owner of a bookstore, was killed. A homeless man was accused, but Minerva can prove that this theory is wrong. She immediately digs in to the case.  At first, she thinks that the criminal is her brother Quill’s freaky friend Toc committed the crime, but then finds out a nasty truth about her “perfect” cousin Jordan, and her friend, Tiffani.

Wow! I loved this book, I couldn’t put it down. I read it all (all, like 400 pages of it) in like, 2 days! I give this book 5 stars, and reccomend it to ages 10 and up, girls. You can find it in the Young Adult section of your local library, but there’s nothing seriously inapropriate about it. Enjoy!
