13 year old Minerva Clark is a regular, self-conscious teen who spends most of her time critiquing herself, and being, well,self-conscious. Until one day her BIC (Brother In Charge) accidentally puts her through electric shock, and zaps all of her fears out of her.
One day, Minerva sees the news and realizes that her friend, the owner of a bookstore, was killed. A homeless man was accused, but Minerva can prove that this theory is wrong. She immediately digs in to the case. At first, she thinks that the criminal is her brother Quill’s freaky friend Toc committed the crime, but then finds out a nasty truth about her “perfect” cousin Jordan, and her friend, Tiffani.
Wow! I loved this book, I couldn’t put it down. I read it all (all, like 400 pages of it) in like, 2 days! I give this book 5 stars, and reccomend it to ages 10 and up, girls. You can find it in the Young Adult section of your local library, but there’s nothing seriously inapropriate about it. Enjoy!
