The King of Pop: Gone Forever. July 5, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — cartooncity @ 4:41 pm

I am devastated that MJ is dead!!!! When I hear “Don’t stop ’til ya Get Enough” I feel like crying! We will always remember MJ for the king he is. And for all you people who say “Michael Jackson faked his death!” just to get readers, seriously? That’s corny. Very.

Book Reveiw Two! June 6, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — cartooncity @ 12:25 am

This book is called “Call it Courage.” I read it in a school book club. It is about a boy who lives in a nation where bravery is highly, highly honored. Every year, the boys of the island go on a big fishing trip, but ome boy, Mufatu, doesn’t go. Mufatu’s name meant “Stout Heart” but he hardy lived up to it. As a baby, he drowned, and Moana, the sea god, claimed the life of his mother. One day, when Mufatu is sitting with his dog, Uri making spears, he hears his former and only friend talking and saying horrible things about him. Mufatu gets very very cross and decides to sail away, to prove that he, Mufatu, can live up to his name. Once Mufatu reaches a foureign island, he discovers it is an island of the Eaters of Men. Luckily, crafty Mufatu makes a small sailboat and plucks fruits from the tree. One night, the Eaters of Men invade! Mufatu sails away, and suddenly, tradgety strikes him when… you want to know? Sorry! I can’t tell you! If you would like to know more about Mufatu, Uri, and Kivi (who is a mystery) I suggest you read this book. I give this book 5 shining stars. I would reccomend it to ages 8 and up. But to really understand it, you should be at least 11. Have a parent look through it first, because of some religious concepts and gore. You should be able to ahndle the sadness in the book, and mentally, you have to be very mature to understand it. This is a great story about finding yourself, and you wont want to even pause while reading it. It’s a beautiful masterpiece!

Book Reveiw #1!!!! May 15, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — cartooncity @ 10:33 pm

Hey Everyone, it’s book reveiw #1! Today I, Tate, will be reveiwing the book Here’s To You, Rachael Robinson by Judy Blume. This book is about a girl named Rachael, who has a brother with learning disabilities. He was at a strict school, but he got suspended. Now he’s living with Rachael (who is 12) and her family, totally wrecking their perfect status, and giving the family loads of stress.

I really enjoyed this book, the companion to Just As Long As We’re Together, which you should read first, but you don’t have to. There was never a dull moment. The only negative comment I have on it is how it is somewhat loosely put together in scenes, and you have a hard time picturing things in your head because of little detail. Other than that, a 4 star book for girls ages 11 and up. Have your mom preveiw it first because of mature content.

Also, I’ve ended my Club Penguin Cheat days. I liked my ’site more the way it was before I started cheat-posting. Sorry, cheat lovers!

Tate

PS Keep the comments coming, it lets me know if people are seeing my ’site.

Yum! Tea! May 3, 2009

Many people enjoy the comforts of a fresh mug of tea. In fact, in 1865 William Gladstone said “If you are cool, tea will warm you. If you are too heated, it will cool you.If you are depressed, it will cheer you. If you are excited, it will calm you.” According to the many people around the world who drink tea, what he says is true. Just boil water, drop a tea bag in, add milk or sugar, and you’ve got it! Tea also has multiple health benefits. Popular types of tea include English Breakfast and Camomile. English Breakfast Tea was created in Ireland. Camomile came from a type of wildflower that made mild but delicious tea. With all these reasons why, why are you not dashing for the kettle now? Go drink some tea today!

Over and out!

The coolest cheat EVER April 18, 2009

Filed under: club penguin cheat posts — cartooncity @ 7:19 pm

Okay, so on Club Penguin, you can throw fast and invisible snowballs! And it’s so easy it’s crazy! Here’s how you do it!

First get on to Club Penguin from here. http://clubpenguin.com/
Next go anywhere with lots of penguins to see.
Click “snowball.” The snowball aiming icon should come up.
Now, hold down the “T” letter (still with the aiming icon up!) and click your mouse as fast as you can!
Your penguin should now bend up and down, as if worshiping someone.
As soon as your penguin starts throwing a ton of snowballs, walk away to the right.
It should look like a ghost is throwing snowballs!

Tdap Shot March 31, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — cartooncity @ 11:46 pm

Well, today I got a letter telling all of the fifth graders that out Tdap booster is coming up soon. Tdap protects us against whooping cough, tetnus, and more. Well, I’m not really THAT worried because shots really only feel like a pinch for a quick second, but after they usually swell up HUGE and get all sore for me, so that’s where some fear would come in.

Middle School Talk February 26, 2009

Filed under: Blogroll — cartooncity @ 9:56 pm

Aaaah! I just looked at the track listings for middle school. I will be year-round at Leesville Middle! I’m hoping to get on track 2 or 4… See, everyone wants to be on track 4 because it is closest to traditional, and the other tracks have small classes, which MEANS more attention. So my mom isn’t quite sure yet. I’ve had some friendship problems lately, and all of my friends want to be on track for, and I want to make NEW friends, so a different track maybe a good idea. Either way, I can and can’t wait to go!!!!!

*SQUEAL BREAK.*

I can wait because I have never been in Leesville School. NOT ONCE. I can’t wait because, well, you know… new people, new teachers, (and maybe this year there will actually be some CUTE and not disgusting boys! LOL)
